One of the students from English Literature Study Program, Apri Rohmanto, who joined the UNY SMARTER team managed to get a Bronze Medal in the International Bujang Valley Innovation, Invention, and Design Competition 2019 (BVIIEC) at UiTM Kedah Branch, Malaysia on June 13, 2019. BVIIEC is an annual event held by the University of Technology Mara Malaysia Kedah Branch, Malaysia. The aim of this competition is to discover new innovations created by students from all over the world.

By joining this competition, Apri gained so much valuable experiences. He also had the opportunity to make friends with various students from other countries. He used that precious chance to exchange stories so that he could learn various kinds of culture from other countries. During his five days there, he saw many new things that he had never found in Indonesia.

Apri believes that everyone will be able to achieve what they want by trying hard, just like what he had done. Even he realizes that he is nothing compared to others. He was just so grateful for getting that opportunity. Therefore, he claimed that the opportunity he got would never be forgotten, because there were a lot of efforts and obstacles that must be passed to get there. (ApriR)
