YOGYAKARTA, October 1, 2026 — The Center for Culture, Language, and Literature Education (CCLLE) officially marked a pivotal transition in its institutional journey through a formal Leadership Handover Ceremony held on the 3rd Floor of the Ranggawarsita Building, Faculty of Language, Arts, and Culture (FBSB) UNY.

The event served to formally transfer leadership responsibilities while honoring the enduring legacy of outgoing Chair, Dr. Dra. Widyastuti Purbani, M.A., and welcoming incoming Chair, Dr. Rachmat Nurcahyo, S.S., M.A.

Guided by student MC Jihan, the ceremony commenced at 10:00 AM with a warm opening and prayer, setting a reflective and hopeful tone for the afternoon. In her farewell address, Dr. Widyastuti reflected on her tenure, expressing gratitude for the collective effort, dedication, and academic integrity that built CCLLE into a vibrant center for cultural and linguistic education.

Taking the floor as incoming Chair, Dr. Rachmat Nurcahyo delivered an inspiring address acknowledging the foundational contributions of his predecessor. Emphasizing the profound impact of her leadership, Dr. Rachmat shared a heartfelt tribute, suggesting that a framed portrait of "Ma’am Widya" should occupy a central place of honor in the CCLLE office as a constant reminder of her dedication and pioneering vision.

The central highlight of the event was the official signing of the handover documents, formally passing the leadership mantle to Dr. Rachmat. The ceremony was witnessed by distinguished study program members of the English Literature Study Program, including Dr. Ari Nurhayati, S.S., M.Hum.; Nandy Intan Kurnia, S.S., M.Hum.; Dindadari Arum Jati, S.S., M.Hum.; and Dr. Andy Bayu Nugroho, S.S., M.Hum.

Looking ahead, Dr. Rachmat noted that further internal consultations will take place in the coming weeks to finalize the structure and personnel of the new management team, ensuring a seamless continuation of CCLLE’s strategic vision.

The gathering concluded at 12:00 PM with a commemorative photo session, smoothly facilitated by the newly onboarded student volunteers. Special appreciation goes to Rindiana Destya Salsabila, Pricilla Divina Palmanda, Aqbar Fila Dhanindra, Jihan Alyaa Ferina, Maheswari Anindya, Jihan Fauziyyah Lathiffah, and Nayla Zahratur Rosyada from the Class of 2024, alongside Dewi Nabilah and Stephanie Aracellyn Yuliawandi from the Class of 2025, whose dedicated assistance ensured the seamless execution and wrap-up of the event.
