On 25 September 2017, Erna Andriyanti, Ph.D., a lecturer of English Literature study program of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, was honoured to become one of three panellists in the Dialog Kebangsaan held by the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia for New South Wales, Queensland, and South Australia based in Sydney. She presented a paper on language education in Indonesian multilingual context.  

The theme of this annual event commemorating the independence of Indonesia was "Education towards Indonesia 2050: Challenges and Opportunities". The keynote speaker was Prof Fuad Abdul Hamied, Ph.D. of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Among the audience were prominent figures of Indonesian diaspora in New South Wales, scholars with interests in Indonesian studies, Indonesian communities in Sydney and staffs of the Consulate General.
